Lisa-Marie Misztak is an award-winning journalist. Since joining the BBC, she has made significant contributions across various radio and TV programs for BBC World News and the World Service. With a passion for African news, she has worked with BBC Africa on Focus on Africa TV, radio and presenting the Africa Today podcast. Currently, she serves as a news presenter and senior reporter reaching both global and domestic audiences in the UK.
Lisa-Marie reported and produced the TV and radio documentary, Samburu: The Fight Against Child Marriage, which aired on BBC platforms. The documentary highlighted the pressing issues of child marriage and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in Samburu County, Kenya.
A passionate advocate for diversity and women empowerment, Lisa-Marie became the first UK Ambassador for the Women in Africa Initiative (WIA). She regularly hosts webinars and events, providing African women in business and young leaders with a platform to connect and share their stories and successes.
